Craft and Social Change conference 8,9 May 2013

On 8 and 9 May 2013 the annual Norwegian Crafts conference curated by ArtProjects and Solutions, was held at Toynbee Hall in London.Presentations were given by prominent thinkers and activists and discussions ranged from Ruskin, political campainging, feminist practice, making and the slow revolution, environmental issues and what impact craft can have on global economics. The Craftivism Collective got everybody stitching and thinking….This event made me re-engage with the political nature of making – it was so stimulating and made me excited about my own practice
